Palace Brewery

Established in 1882, the Palace Brewery in Alameda was a popular brewing establishment with lovely picnic grounds, and gardens. Under the management of Henry Schuler, the Palace Brewery was located on Central Avenue between Fifth and Sixth Streets on the line of the Narrow Gauge Railroad. Influenced by the great breweries of Dublin and London Schuler was famous for his Cream “Steam” Lager and XXX Porter.
