The boxing pavilion at Croll’s Garden’s in Alameda, California, was one of the world’s best known training places for famous pugilists. Champions trained at Croll’s as far back as 1889. Bob Fitzsimmons, James J. Corbett, Terry McGovern and Jack Demsey were just a few of the boxers who trained there.
